Jordan Addison Dealing with Jammed Thumb but Vikings Downplay Severity
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison jammed his thumb and will miss some practice time, but imaging came back clean and coach Kevin O’Connell said there is nothing to be concerned about.
What happened
Jordan Addison jammed his thumb during a recent practice and did not fully participate on Wednesday, August 5. Head coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed all imaging returned clean and described the injury as “just a little sore.” Addison worked individual drills but avoided catching passes and sat out team periods. O’Connell expects him to put the issue behind him within a day or two.
Fantasy impact
This is a minor setback with no expected long-term impact on Addison’s role as the Vikings’ WR2. Managers can maintain current draft rankings with minimal adjustment. The injury is not expected to affect his Week 1 availability or target share opposite Justin Jefferson.
